What a trip. First, we would like to welcome all of the new listeners we met there, as well as all of those who picked up our postcard from one of our sponsors like the American Disc Jockey Association, Denon DJ, QSC, DJ Event Planner, Mike Walter, & Sureglow. Thanks for checking us out!

We have some great content from DJ Expo airing soon on PodcastForDJs.com and the DJ Idea Sharing Podcast Network RSS and iTunes feeds… First, education and insanity insues as Jim Aldridge, Mike Fernino, and Steve the Producer record live on the way to DJ Expo. Experience the Road Rage with us. This one was a lot of fun! We recorded a couple “studio-style” sessions including a must listen with Jeffrey Craig of Total Entertainment. For all those who think you can’t make a living as a full time mobile DJ, you must listen to this! Jeff may give you some food for thought. We also conducted many interviews while roaming the show floor, including various manufacturers like M Audio and X-Laser (very cool!)and 2 special interviews we are particularly proud to bring you:

Russ Harris: Chicago-based Mobile DJ turned remixer, producer, and billboard charting dance artist. Can you hear the “Drums in the Club?

DJ Skribble: Yes, you read correctly. The MTV phenomenon and trend-setting superstar DJ Skribble chatted with us outside the DJ Expo show floor.

All in all, it was a fun and successful outing for the DJISPN at DJ Expo 2008. Please enjoy the interviews and leave us some comments! Special thanks to Dr. Drax and the American Disc Jockey Association for putting up with us and for sponsoring our show floor activities… You Rock!!!

All of the episodes prior to June, 2008 are temporarily unavailable via the iTunes, Zune, and RSS feeds. If you subscribe to the DJISPN via our iTunes, Zune or RSS feeds and want to access older episodes via the feed, this effects you. You will temporarily not be able to do so. All of our pre-June 2008 episodes are still available, however, in the old episode archive at www.djideasharing.com/podcast.html. If you listen via the website or are not currently trying to access older episodes via the feed, then please ignore this.

We are trying to make the adjustment where ALL episodes will become available on the new PodcastForDJs.com version of the feed. Currently, we cannot have both the old and new episodes co-existing on the same version of the feed.

We will be manually resubmitting episodes to the new blog and feed as time permits. We also plan to release improved versions of all of the older episodes to the new feed, as well. All of these episodes will appear corresponding to their original air dates, and will also precede all of these first few posts when the appear in this new blog.

Please stay tuned and thank you for your patience.

Since February of 2007, we have been incurring lots of costs to produce this podcast network. Initially these costs came out of our own pockets for equipment, software, file hosting, etc. As we strive to improve this podcast network we continue to incur even more costs which have been added to the initial ones. While this is a labor of love for our industry, we can not continue this podcast while footing the entire bill personally. This is where our sponsors come in.

Industry sponsors who believe in what the DJ Idea Sharing Podcast Network represents and is doing for the industry have come on board to help us. Our thanks to QSC Audio, Denon DJ, and DJ Event Planner. Special thanks to Mike Walter, not only one of our Fishbowl hosts, but also one of the first sponsors to come on board with his Training Your Next Great DJ program. Thanks also go out to past supporters like the ADJA, Sureglow, and Northern Light FX.

So what can you, our listeners and subscribers do to help us continue bringing you our brand of education to the DJ industry? This is important… Support our sponsors! Check them out, purchase from them, and make sure you tell them I’m here because of DJ Idea Sharing!
